Without technical officials, weightlifting competitions are impossible! You don't have to be a lifter to become an official; you just have to have an interest in getting a front row seat for all the action.
From time to time, the NTWA runs Club Referee courses that teach people how to be an official at a local competition. Official roles include referees, MC, technical controller, scorer and weigh in attendant.
Club-level officials can work to upgrade their credentials by officiating at national and international events.
Follow our Facebook page to find out when club referee courses are being held or email firstname.lastname@example.org to get more information about upgrading your credentials.
